I may be in a minority, but I too am glad the Vikes beat Washington last year. I don't believe you can ever play to lose. Any player with integrity will not play to lose. The only way RG3 ends up in Minny is if Speilman and Frazier were both fired at the end of the season and they may have been if the Vikes did not win that game. Ponder fits well in the scheme that the Vikes hierarchy wants to play and it is working out well. Ponder is showing marked improvement from last year and the Vikes are becoming the team that Frazier invisioned. I have always liked coach Frazier, but I was beginning to wonder if he was the right coach for this young team but they are starting to buy into the system and it looks like his patience has paid off. No need to lose tommorrow because the Vikes have already lost out in the Barkley sweepstakes.

Frazier is clueless. He is wasting Joe Webbs talent as a QB, he is a RECIEVER. He thought McNabb could still play, he cut McKinnie, last seasons secondary was one of the worst in history and he made no changes until Cook was arrested. He hired Musgrave who has turned out to be a clone of Childress in offensive creativity, ZERO. Just because his style reminds people of Dungy does not make him great. The only good team they've beaten was SF and that's because AlexSmith played horrible. Wake up fans, the record might be 4-1 but nothing has really changed.Another year of no playoffs wil be the result.

Really? Soo is as clueless as Frazier if he expects us to believe winning that game and getting our star back crippled was worth the sacrifice to get a lineman instead one the two top quarterbacks. Ponder is just average and will never be an all-star like Luck and RG3 will be. Winning that game last year was a disaster.

@dch6859 - This isn't fantasy football. You can't just take some guy (Webb) and stick him at a position he's never played at the NFL level. McKinnie?? Seriously?? He was a bum and an underachiever. He's already had 2-3 run-ins with the Ravens and doesn't even start regularly. The Vikes gave the 49's their only loss and were in control the entire game. They also got a good road win at Detroit. They can only win the games that are scheduled and they are doing that. You're one of those fans that would still be complaining if they were 10-1 because so and so on the opposing team was injured or their opponent didn't play their best game or the Vikes got lucky.

So far so good. Frazier has done a better job than I could've imagined. Ponder has grown by leaps and bounds. AD is a phenom. The LBs and DBs are light years better than last year. However, I think Vike lovers and haters all know that the true test comes after the bye. Look at those 6 games. Not an easy one there. Even the Rams have a resurgent D. Hard to doubt Frazier's approach through 5 games, though. SKOL!!!!

@dch5869 - You made a good point until you mentioned McKinnie. Read some articles from Baltimore area press. McKinnoe is not reminding people of Art Shell, to say the least.

@erlundga - I feel your pain, but there's just so many interns that can man the internetz for the Strib on Sunday. Seemingly innocuous posts get purged all the time, mine included. To be fair, I probably violate TOS when it comes to my beloved Vikes.
