Default phrase "help the economy". The Vikings Stadium,St. Paul Saints stadium, Guthrie, new airport all are built to help the economy. MN should be swimming in dough.

So, as the citizens wait for the environmental study, wait for federal funding before proceeding, take a look at construction projects just north and west of the Basicilia as well as other spots for this proposal. Wait, how can this be a proposal and construction is already underway!

"Mass transit = mass deceit= massive costs= massive boondoggle etc etc"_______ I second that! I live in Elk River and watch the empty North Star line go by every day.

Why do these projects benefit Minneapolis and Hennepin county? Because Minneapolis and Hennepin county provide more tax revenue to the state then the rest of the cities an counties by far. In addition, both Hennepin county and Minneapolis pay their fair share.

Did anybody read the other train article here today! They don't work and they cost a ton and folks will lose their houses and for what a few selfish folks who think they know better than we do with our tax money. I for one, will vote out the selfesh politicans ,and if it did work, I would be all for it, but it does not and don't even try to MAKE folks ride, this is freedom issue and all of the folks writing to slam me on my opinion, go ahead, but I wish your home was one sloted to be demolished for this and the State was going to give you pennies on the dollar for your home, please comment!

For some reason I have a gut feeling that if the freight noise/vibration issues were to have a greater effect on Edina or Eden Prairie, as opposed to SLP, this would never be pushed through.
