Well Jackie, I agree with you 100 percent. However, do you know what the Cons are going to say about this? I can hear it now.

"Let the free market work its' magic. If there is enough money to be made and enough consumers who want better treatments or a cure for Parkinson Disease, and are willing to pay through the nose for it, some brilliant entreprenuer will start a small business and fulfill that demand. We don't need no stinkin' National Institute of Health to do medical research! Why, that's communism, that's marxism, that's socialism! That's unpatriotic and heretical! Defund the NIH immediately and let those 500,000 people who will be out of work eat cake. Let all of those people with diabetes, Parkinsons and other deadly diseases wait for their cures indefinitely. The ONLY thing that matters is FREE MARKET CAPITALISM!"
