Well, he is from Wisconsin. About par for the course. That doesn't mean I agree with him. The guy needs his head examined.

It does not surprise me that your father said it Rep. Rivard. Even for him it was a stupid thing to say. The fact that you repeated it makes me think that you believe it and that makes you even more stupid than your father

When right wing radicals distance themselves from other right wing radicals over stupid comments that they make, it can only mean one thing. The party is on the verge of self immolation.

Just when you think politicians can't possibly top the last guy's stupid remarks about rape, along comes Rivard. This, after Akin. Akin, after congressmen including Paul Ryan who signed on to a redefination of rape ("forcible rape") for purposes of limiting abortion. And who was the wisecracking idiot who said, if a woman can't stop a rape she might as well lay back and enjoy it? Keep it up, guys, and let us know what's on your mind, so we can be sure not to vote for you or your party, knowing what you will try to pass as legislation if your party is in power.

Good lord his "context" is worse than the statement out of context. And this is the "just say no" crowd in a nutshell. No pun intended. And theHoffmans, it certainly is and ELEPHANT in the room.

What woman could vote for a guy like this and look herself in the mirror afterward?

When one person says something stupid like this (Ryan and "forcible rape"), it reflects badly on him. When two people say something stupid like this (Rivard and "rape easy"), it reflects badly on a state. But when three people (Akin and "legitimate rape") say the same stupid thing, it reflects badly on their party, and you have to wonder what their plans truly are.
