Though the U might not have a go-to wideout in the mold of Eric Decker, a group of interchangeable parts is making an impact.

I am looking forward to next season when the Gophers will have Phillip Nelson throwing the ball as the 1st option and running the ball as the 2nd option or out of necessity. I like Shortell, but he is not the right QB fir the system that Kill runs as he is not a dual QB. Hopefully, Kill will take advantage of his strength which is is fast receiving corp, spread the field with his fast 3-4 WR sets, then running the ball or passing out of that formation, safeties will have to help over the top due the Gopher's speed and a QB that can throw the deep pass. Thus, defenses can stack the box with a 7-8 men front to stop the run. Hoping McDonald gets to redshirt this year and get better healthwise, then teaming up with Harbison for a great season. Go Gophers!

I'm still excited for this season (and next). We have a chance for a fun win at home this Saturday. The place should be loud! I hope we continue to see our receivers get open and that Shortell is hitting them in stride.

After the disaster at Iowa you can only hope they will be competitive.
