Seimone Augustus' traffic stop caused furor for player and police in Roseville, but now it's resolved.

The system is broken if a 2x Olympian, MVP, player professional is driving a 16-yr-old car. They're the only winning team this town has had for quite some time! These athletes deserve more!

HBill - ""These athletes deserve more!"" These athletes are paid what the market in the Twin Cities will bear... If they cannot attract a larger high paying audience, then they will continue to be paid as they currently are.... If you think they should be paid more, then you are free to open your wallet....

I was once stopped after dark in Roseville. The cop said he saw someone throw a lit cigarrette but out of a car. Well, it wasn't me. I suggested the cop smell the air in the car as no one had been smoking in my car. I was alone, coming home from work late. This was a frustrating situation. I never heard of the law in regards to hanging anything fro your rearview mirror before. What about all those parking permits that you get from employers to specifically hang on rearview mirrors? Are those illegal as well? R. Thomas

Never heard of that law before, and seriously doubt that cops routinely stop people for having an air freshener. Sounds like a law of convenience for the cops to stop someone for any reason they like.

I have done a "ride-along" with Officer Chau and have personally known him for 2 decades since I went to high school with him. He is a stand-up, hard-working and honest person.

No official would admit it but Seimone and Monica received unfair treatment at the hands of the police. Vehicles don't get pulled over for a petty offense such as dangling air fresher unless there's some profiling such as black occupants and/or out-of-state plates. To further exacerbate the situation the officer rudely attempts to tie them to suspicious theft behavior. Roseville police should apologize profusely for the demeaning, insensitive and disgusting remarks.

Racial profiling, plain and simple. This is what our police forces have become. Either a bunch of thugs or small humans trying to prove something.

Asking Seimone Augustus about thefts at the mall was uncalled for and offensive. She had every right to complain about it publicly. If the Roseville police are embarrassed, it is the fault of the officer who said that during the traffic stop. They have no legitimate reason to be upset with Seimone Agustus.
