A recent dustup over a grocery store selling pre-peeled, packaged bananas highlights a serious issue: We waste a lot of packaging on food.

The problem isn't the packaging, it is the fact bananas are shipped all over the world, and most are thrown away. Eat locally grown produce, or move to a climate that grows bananas.
