A classic quote during a Monday Night Football telecast, as a television camera beamed a sideline shot of Otis Sistrunk's steaming bald head, Alex Karras suggested that the extraterrestrial-looking Sistrunk's alma mater was the "University of Mars." RIP.

I think the fans do care about what happens to the players they grew up watching. I still have fond memories of the purple people eaters, Tarkenton, Bud Grant, Rashad and more!

I grew up in Gary in the same era, and he and the rest of Karras family were good, down-to-earth people.
