Hmm... look at where the two teams that were suppose to be leading the NFC North are ranked!!! Ha Ha experts. Don't underestimate young talent.

I'm as big of a Vikings homer as anyone but having the Bears ranked lower isn't justified. They're only loss was to the Packers on the road and they beat the team (Colts) who the Vikes lost to and have blown out their last 3 opponents. Nonetheless, glad to see the Vikings moving up, keep it going.

Yeah, the Purple might be ranked a bit too high considering three of their wins were against the #26, #30 and #31 ranked teams. But, a win is a win.

I agree with twinsvikesjr on this. I am also a loyal Vikings fan, but I dont think the Vikings should be placed above the Bears. Until the Vikes beat the Packers and Bears, I will consider them a fair contender. Otherwise, they are still a building team.

@greenfly and twinsvikesfan; You two couldn't have been any more correct... I believe that the Vikings are a great YOUNG team with a promising future...But ranking them above the Bears AND the 49'rs I would have to say no-go!! Yes...the team has 4 wins with 2 of those being against playoff teams from a year ago. However, there is still so much football to be played and SOOO many variables that can turn the tides of a season. Injuries, breaks, calls or name 500 other things... I'm enjoying this ride right now believe me!!! But I am not acting like a delusional Cowboy or Packer fan ready to start making my travel plans for the superbowl...lol... The team is sure a lot of fun to watch though...and for that I am greatful

The Vikings should be #1 by all accounts. The Texans and Falcons?? So they got luck and beat bad teams. The Vikings are the best team. The best.

I agree with others that the Vikes are too high and should not be ahead of the Bears. On the other hand, who cares? NFL power rankings are stupid and ridiculous--I'm sure Mark Craig would agree--so why not stick the hometown team a bit higher than is probably warranted?
