Wolves made additions to temper loss of Rubio

The presence of more ball-handlers should prevent a repeat of last season's collapse following the point guard's injury.

OMG! The season's almost here! I'm so excited for this season, I just can't stand it. We probably have one of the most talented teams, top to bottom, in the NBA. There is not a weakness in the starting 5, when Ricky gets back. And the second team is strong, with Alexi running the point and shooting the ball, DWill maturing, Stiemsma and Amundson capable physical backups, and Chase can shoot it. They all can shoot it. No more off balance left handed jump hooks ad nauseum, no more ball stops here, watch me go one on one, no more one dimensional, stationary 3 point clankers and never shoot a damn free throw...It's night and day how different this team is. It's scary how good they can become. Olympic meadalists, NBA all stars, capable backups, veterans and youth, top 10 winningest coach in NBA history....it's a perfect cocktail of NBA weaponry, also known as your beloved Mighty Minnesota Timberwolves! Get ready for the best season in franchise history! Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaaahhh!

I am not a Basketball fan never have been. I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed watching the Timberwolves last season. Ricky Rubio talents sure added fun to the game... With the additions to this years squad The Wolves should be a real contender... Stay healthy Kevin and the rest and GET HEALTHY FAST RICKY.... That kid reminds me to the movie "Teen Wolf" with Micheal J Fox..... FUN can't wait... !!!

I really don't think this team can win without Rubio. They couldn't last year. What is different now? I was excited for this season until I realized that Rubio wouldn't be back for the first 20+ games. Love definitely can't carry the team. If Roy is healthy and effective than MAYBE they can be .500 or close to it when Rubio comes back, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

What is different now? The whole purpose of the article was to discuss how DIFFERENT this team is compared to last year's squad that fell on its face after Rubio went down.

It also shows a big difference in philosophy between the Twolves and the Twins. Doing what is needed to improve both with players and coaches. Front office is to be congratulated for effort.

I guess we felt so very very badly when Ricky went down!! But not only that, but it meant Coach A would play JJ Barea ...and that we cannot handle! It really stinks. He is simply not a team player. He is for himself totally. Please get rid of JJ!!!!!!! so that we can enjoy the game!!!
