The lesson: If you don't like the punishment, get an expensive lawyer.

It was obvious for all to see when the Vikings played New Orleans in that play off game several years ago that Brett Farve was hit unnecessarily and viciously and that the officials did nothing about it. The Vikings were the best team that year.

The NFLPA and its lawyers, in their hurry to settle the lockout last year, signed the working agreement/contract that gave Goodell these exact powers. Now they somehow think that Roger can't do this. Sorry guys, you messed up.

Looks like they forgot about Sean Payton's punishment also, he was on TV attending the Saint's game Sunday night. I thought he was banned from football for a year?

Kenny...they made an exception so Payton could see Brees break Unitas"s record.

Vilma and the rest should be given a 5k bounty bonus for getting past Goodell...They all should of gotten Life Time Bans from the game.. PERIOD ! Is Pete Rose in the Baseball HOF yet ? NO ....and he only bet on games never tired to intentionally hurt anyone.... Total different set of rules I know but just the same... They all should of been banned for LIFE !!!!

Good decisions, Commish. As for the lawyers -- it's what they do. Lots of rich ambulances here to chase.

The Saints asked for a special exemption so that Peyton could watch Brees break Unitas' record. They mentioned it during the broadcast.
