I'd really like to understand what the deal is with John Carlson. In general I think Spielman has done quite well in terms of personnel (including the draft) this year, but Carlson is clearly the one move that has not yet worked out at all. When he was first signed I thought it was a bit odd, but then after learning more it seemed like a good under-the-radar signing given Musgrave's offense and the fact that we were not really ready/able to go after top-flight receiver talent. But obviously Carlson has been a total disappointment, and it seems it can't all be attributed to his preseason injury at this point. I'm just not clear on why he's such a total non-factor and haven't really seen much reporting that offers explanations.

Don't agree with your point questioning the challenge. 1) It took the Titans off the field. Had they continued driving and scored three or seven, it might have been a different game and 2) it was obvious from the replay, which I presume the Vikings saw before Frazier threw the flag, that the spot was wrong. Contrary to your view, I think it was good call on the part of the Vikes.

The Challenge was early' yet it kept the momentum with our beloved purple and that is always very key! Good call Leslie.

Sorry Craig, but it's not too early - Carlson is a bust. We're a third of the way through the season, the coaches have tried hard to get him the ball in a TE friendly system and he was a total of one yard ?
