Am I the only one annoyed by all the pink? It's everywhere, sports, coffee shops, lights on buildings, signs, and stores of every variety

No, you're not. Awareness of breast cancer doesn't CURE breast cancer. Neither does wearing pink, or making things pink. It takes money, and lots of it, for research. However, even if we discover what causes it, and even if we discover a true cure, rather than just a treatment, the pharmaceutical companies know that there's no money in cures. Only in treatments. Sad, but true.

I'm absolutely in favor of raising awareness of breast cancer and of raising money to fight this terrible illness but there are alot of other deadly cancers out there that deserve awareness also. Pink pumpkins? Too far.
