I just wanted to add a comment somewhere, to thank someone, even if there's virtually no chance that it will be seen by the person I want to see it. At about the 24.5 mile mark in the TC marathon, I was struggling, and doing run/walking. During one of the walking periods, someone passed me, tapped me lightly on the arm, and quietly said "We're almost there. Let's go." It was the coolest thing that's ever happened to me during a marathon. I started running steadily, and finished well ahead of my target time, and probably would not have if this person hadn't been so very cool.

Just want to say back at "froller", yeah that's what happens in marathons...and that's what makes thing like this awesome. Because you have to break out of your shell and support each other.

As a runner, I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone, specators and volunteers, for coming out yesterday. It's a big lift to everyone in these races to see random people cheering you on, funny signs being held up, and kids along the race course looking for high fives from the runners. It makes for such a fun atmosphere for everybody!
