The snowman icon on the front page of the Star Tribune website is the best weather guy. Easy to look at and gives you the temperature and general conditions for the next few days. My only issue is that sometimes he is wearing the wrong clothing - silly snowman - its almost 60 today - time to break out the shades and straw-hat.

Thanks for all your work. Please hang around, perhaps keep a weather blog. We've always loved your perspectives.

I'm sure he'll be fine. Al Gore needs a VP to help waste $300,000,000.00 needlessly scaring the weak into giving up their freedom and wealth in the name of Global Warming. (Oops, I mean climate change.) They both are looking for personal legacies and I'm betting they'll both be remembered for helping spread the biggest hoax in the history of the world. Congrats and farewell!

...that inflicted upon us the Internet, which is the primary reason being given for Douglas' termination, and it must also have been those "Republican economics" that accounted for Tisch's decision not to start a cable outlet for CBS, and it again must have been "Republican economics" that led to the failure of CBS's "Early Show." Shrewd analysis, fish60!

You are my favorite weather-geek. You don't try to dumb-down the meteorology...you educate-up the people of MN and we were lucky to have had you this long. Good luck!

Bad Move. People don't follow the news because of the number of the channel; they follow it for their personalities. He'll get picked up elsewhere and a lot of people will turn their channels.

What if local stations actually went back to reporting the news that happened around the world and they quit giving empty and silly local interest stories about cats and dogs and kids and sunshine and flowers. You can get your news from Public Television, where they actually report from beyond your back yard.

Funny how they've added high-dollar personality at the national desk, but have to cut costs at the local level. Perhaps they've laid off the wrong kind of people.
