Every article I read makes me more excited for the season to get started. This will be a very good team from Day 1, then turn into an even BETTER team when we get Ricky back in a few months!I just wish I still lived in MN so I could see them more often. I think I'm one of the few Wolves fans here in the land of the Magic.

having an inside presence will be a first for the Wolves in a long time. Not since the Luc Longley days, oh wait, he really was not very good with the Wolves. A new political campaign "PAY PEK Now!" Go Wolves. I approve this message.

Pek is great, but the Wolves are still going to need better defensive length inside against certain teams. Pek and Love, the two sure starters, are both lacking in length and don't get far off the ground. Kirilenko will help in that regard, but he can't be the guy guarding big centers. That is why the Wolves were taking a hard look at Hassan Whiteside, and why they like what they see of 6'11" Chris Johnson in training camp. Johnson is long and was the 2011 NBA D-League Defensive Player of the Year.
