Interesting. I would think the drone would fly close to the ground -- avoid radar detection -- and then pop up when it needed to photograph. I would also think it would be relatively easy to make a drone stealthy. Though I bet Israel has some of the best radar in the world.
Considering that last year Iran took over one of our super secret stealth drones flying in their airspace and landed it at one of their airbases and taxied it into a hangar - meaning they have drone technology near or better than ours - it may have been one of their decoys sent in to get the Israelis to chase their tails. (Old tactic - send in a dumb drone low to tease the radars and spotters and get the whole Israeli military to chase the dumb drone, while the high level stealth drone's camera snaps away)
"Though I bet Israel has some of the best radar in the world.".. It's not the radar, its the "tricks" - and based on who has done what to whom the past couple years in detecting, the Israeli's are not nearly as good as the Iranian's. Takes a heck of a scheme to pick up a US stealth aircraft - and the Iranians have done it.
I'm afraid Israel is in much greater danger now because of how the Obama regime has dealt with the issues in the Middle East. I have a cousin who lives there and I'm worried about her.

Obama could care less about Isreal, with Obama as president Isreal is on its own. My gut 2013 the middle east will be on the verge of war.
I'm going to disagree with chickfila and mike77. The current president wants Israel to be lest provocative and more moderate when it comes to policies of expansion. They don't get carte blanche. I don't doubt the case for war in the middle east in the coming years, but I hope our role is support and not main line. If Iran pushes the issue of nuclear warheads to crisis, we will support Israel and take them out, I don't care which president is in office. Iran with a nuclear warhead is a threat to everyone, not just Israel. If we have interests, we get involved, whether it be strategic, resources, or military. Israel is strategic, oil is a precious resource, and nuclear warheads in the hands of a religiously driven regime is militarily unacceptable.
mike77: "My gut 2013 the middle east will be on the verge of war." I've only been alive since 1948, the year Israel was established. It's been on the verge of war ever since. It will not stop. I'm pro-Israel, but I can understand the feelings of the Palestinians whom have inhabited the area for quite a few centuries. How would you feel?
mike77 wrote: "I can understand the feelings of the Palestinians whom have inhabited the area for quite a few centuries. How would you feel?" - - Well Mike77, I would feel like living in peace with my neighbors who have also lived there for centuries. Please don't buy into the Palestinian Arab myth that the Israeli's just showed up one day and started taking over the land. There have been Israelis (Palestinian Jews - Palestine is the new roman name for Judea, land of the Jews) living in the region for over 4,000 years. Some left, many stayed, ownership changed from Jew to Greek to Roman to Turk to English and finally to Israel and Palestine (the nations, not the area). And when that happened in 1949 the brand new nation of Palestine and 5 other Arab nations attacked Israel and have been attacking ever since. When they lost every conventional war they started they turned to terrorism. And still the Israelis will make peace, trade land for peace, if they can guarantee that the Palestinians and their Arab friends will stop attacking them. That's the solution - that someone on the Arab side with enough power and authority can actually make the peace with Israel that everyone claims they want.
All this in the name of religion. All it does is divide and create hatred.
