Obama remains extremely popular among half of the population and has the most impressive record of small donations in presidential history (small meaning under $200). This campaign is a replay of 2008 in which over half of the campaign total is derived from millions of small-time donors like me. I've donated $100 every few weeks because I fully believe that a chameleon on glass like Romney would spell doom for this great country and turn it into a pure plutocracy, not a democracy. His big donors want a ROI from him in the way of concentrating even more power at the very top of the food chain. This is where his loyalty lies, not in the struggling middle class.
