Prior Lake gets a 'destination' park after decades of waiting

After a 40-year wait, the transformation of a pretty piece of land into a park is almost finished, with a grand opening this weekend.

The headline makes it sound like Prior Lake has been deprived for decades of a decent park. The truth is that just east of town is the magnificent Cleary Lake, with its 3.5 mile paved trail around the lake, golf, volleyball, boat rentals, beach, camping, off-leash dog park, the list goes on. It gets only a brief mention in the article. It should say the Prior Lake is getting another destination park.
