Thanks for a great article. Once again we are reminded of why education is more than technology. We need the humanities.

Wow - thank you Professor McGrath for sharing your obvious gifts of prose and eloquence in this beautiful ode to our human condition. The change of meteorlogical season makes a powerful metaphor for the seasons of our lives. Your writing artfully translates feelings into words, and your words in turn touch the soul. Please favor us with your writing again in the future.

What a pleasure to find such an evocative piece within the clamor of the latest news, sports and weather. Even though sad and bittersweet how refreshing to read something with depth, beyond the clamor of politics and opinion. Thank you.

There is nothing as refreshing as reading a well written, thoughtful, reflection on the human condition, especially a season as evocative and full of feeling, as autumn in Minnesota. A joy, sad and sweet, and so true. As Joni Mitchell wrote, "And the seasons, they go round and round, and the painted ponies go up and down. We're captive on the carousel of time. We can't return, we can only look behind, from where we came, and go round and round and round, in the Circle Game. Thanks you Mr. McGrath, your article made my day.
