Another great change would be Molitor as Manager.

Yea, Bert will do wonders with the pitchers that Anderson has had to deal with. Probably would have won the division with Bert as pitching coach this year. Last year too. Leo Mazzone in his prime and whoever the pitching coach is with Tampa now, would have lost 90+ games the past two seasons with the staff Anderson had to work with. Give Anderson the present Tampa Bay staff or Maddux, Smoltz, Glavin, and Avery and I think the Twins could have been pretty good. Give Tampa the mangled mess that Anderson dealt with and see how good Madden and the Rays would have been. Mazzone spent a couple of years in Baltimore at the en of his career. How did that turn out for the Orioles back then. They didn't have Maddux, Smoltzie and the boys. If you want to go after someone, go after the people responsible for the pitchers the Twins have drafted for the past 20 years. Pitching coaches at the major league level don't give you your God given ability, they refine the physical and mental ability the pitcher has.

Molitor as manager? I'm not talking one way or the other about Gardenhire. But what makes you think Molitor is the answer? He was an outstanding player. A smart player, blessed with great skills. Great attributes. He's been a coach who has circulated the Twins minor league system. However, he has no managerial experience. Has he been a great teacher in this job? Does he recognize strengths and weaknesses? No question he can identify with the everyday player, but how about pitchers and managing a staff from game to game? More importantly at the major league level, does he have good people skills? Can he manage people, meaning players and his own staff. Does he have patience? Can he handle ups and downs? Is his personality suitable to managing in the big leagues? How would he have handled the last two years as manager? Sorry, but with the same players and options, I don't think any manager would have done appreciably better. And that's the only question I think I can answer.

I'm sure Gardy would be intimidated by Molitor's presence on the staff.....Look for Molly to be the next manager though by July 1 of next season.

Enough with Bert as the pitching coach. He wouldn't want the job. Now that he's in the HOF, he has nothing left to prove. Golfing and drinking Coors takes much higher precedence over 7 long months of a baseball season.
