No, he wasn't at his best in moderating Wednesday's presidential debate. Still...

Jim was about as good as Obama last night. Both seemed way over their heads.

There's no excuse for Leher's performance last night. He didn't do his job, period.

For the love of God people...please quit watching these farces labeled as "debates" until we get candidates who actually ANSWER THE FREAKING QUESTION that is put before them.

If you want to have a good debate moderator, I suggest Kerri Miller from MPR. She's moderated many local political debates, she doesn't let the guests on her radio show, or candidates ramble on and on and keeps participants on point. She is the person who will cut the speaker off if they move off topic. I wish she would have been considered for the position instead of Lehrer.

Lehrer did exactly what he should have done, LET THE CANDIDATES DEBATE, not the moderator.

Or maybe it was just that the few remaining Obama apologists didn't enjoy watching Obama make a fool out of himself. Blame anything or anyone but Obama. Shhhh. It's almost over.

I can't imagine it's that easy to keep "the most powerful man in the world" and the person who wants to be "the most powerful man in the world" in check.

Anyone remember who moderated the Lincoln - Douglas debate? Didn't think so. Look, Jim isn't running for President, that's between Barack and Mitt. This was a REAL debate and one of the debaters didn't show up. Bet Obama shows up for the next debate.

I thought this was a very entertaining debate. Both candidates were allowed to sway a little off-topic, both candidates were able to challenge the other, both candidates were allowed a little wiggle room to defend themselves--what's wrong with that? Isn't the objective to elect the Leader of Free World? So a few Professional Debate Moderators are upset over protocol...who cares.

Sure, blame the moderator. That's really big
