Does anyone know whatever happene to James Gillum?

wrongsideOct. 3, 12 9:29 PM

Sounds like the 2012 season is pretty much shot.

"It is what it is." Not shot. Just not hot. Really a work in progress as advertised. A lot of people are disappointed because it takes more work than they anticipated. Just because the rebuilding after a long deconstruction is slow doesn't make it less real. Kill has what it takes.

Wrong, mom, every other team in the Big 10 is finished recruiting and focused on the 2012 season. The Gophers have six recruits on 10/4, with one who shouldn't be counted as he failed to gain admission last year and is now being counted again and another who is wavering. The staff is on the road the week after a rivalry beatdown?? "Work in progress?" Uhhhh....ya....

Coach, not satisfied by earlier comments as we had 4 mistakes, take those away and we win. An injured DB out and that changed the D. D line is not big enough for their O line. The second half we played well, come on. You and your staff knew IA was going to continually run the ball, so prepare for it. Second half, you should have had them fired up for the start of the game. This was a typical pathetic Gopher loss and you should be embarrassed by it.

We'll see if Kill and his staff can improve from the 12th ranked recruiting class in the B1G. He better get some top new recruits, because he's losing most of Brewster's after this year and he's not added anything (except unproven Nelson and McDonald) so far. He may be able to beat some BUMS in the preseason with his coaching ability, but it'll take some very skilled players to win in conference. I wish him luck. He'd better hurry, 'cause time is getting short based on the empty seats at The Bank.

6 recruits with no other offers as of 10/4.....that's building?

partskcojOct. 4, 12 4:03 PM

Maybe, just maybe Jerry isn't B10 material. If Northwestern comes in here with a bunch of slow academics and beats the Gophs then I guess I've seen enough. No more excuses. Remember this is a Maturi hire.

I don't mean to be a scold, but couldn't you put something in here about the " minor" sports once in a while.

WALDOTXOct. 4, 12 5:07 PM

yeah, Stanford has a bunch of nerds too. How does your argument stand up now partskcoj? Northwestern is a decent team. It will be tight. Max has to hit his wide open receivers, we won't win with his running skills.
