It is also a question of luck . . . Ponder has thrown some really bad balls that defenders have failed to hang on to.

It hurts to say it, but the Yikes actually seem to be a team to pay attention to. Looking forward to December...

I'm impressed that he hasn't tried to press and make a long throw that wasn't a prudent choice like he did last year. He is very much improved. However there have been at least three easy picks defenses have dropped on opposing teams. I hope he has learned from those too.

As long as the Vikes defense and special teams play the way they do this is all Ponder has to do. Don't turn the ball over, hand off to a running back, or look for a safe short pass. What's interesting about all of this though is that the Vikes offense looks very capable of doing a lot more than that with Simpson added to the mix. I'm looking for the offense to have a breakout game soon regardless of how conservative they're playing. This is a good blocking offense and there's a lot of play makers on offense.

this just goes to show that while it is a quarterback driven league, it is still a team game and CP is benefiting from improved line and improved recievers. the soft schedule also helps.
