Sure, naming winter storms may be fun. But will people stay off the roads or will they have a sudden hankering for ice cream?

Oh, great, now we're going to have egos with no official credentials battling over what to call the latest storm, and will be all ticked off when the rest of us who will ignore them don't go along with their commercialization. To heck with 'em.

TWC's list also includes Yogi. I suggest that they scratch Brutus and replace it with Yogi's pal Booboo. Which can also be the winter storm that catches all the forecaster's off guard. I think that there are too many variables involved to make this much more than marketing hype.
