T-Mobile USA, MetroPCS to merge cellphone businesses to better compete with larger rivals

NEW YORK - T-Mobile and MetroPCS have agreed to combine their struggling cellphone businesses in a deal aimed at letting them compete better with their three larger rivals.

Good job, just don't raise the rates and don't let customer service suffer.

I've had T-Mobile since 2003. I'm not one to run around needing to change carriers every six months, breaking contracts, or complaining about the fees. But, since I'm in the middle of another 2 year contract (I upgrade about every 4 years or so to a different phone), they won't be able to touch my rates until January 2014.

Didn't know 33 million Germans passed through the US enough to fund this--are there 33 million Germans on US soil?--they have lousy phone service. Ain't there laws that keep foreign business from buying on US territories or are we going to seize them and git all our money back some day..some day..
