The smoke from the fires blew in pretty rapidly as the winds started coming from the NW. My mother panicked when the bank of smoke blew in across our lake in western Hubbard County. Even a short time outside left my eyes burning! The cool winds coming in are thankfully a sign of relief. I can tolerate the annoyance of the smoke when I think of the folks losing property from these fires. Relief can't come soon enough.
