Mauer and Molitor both debuted in the majors at 21. Mauer has played the more difficult position, but DHed in more games than Molitor had at the same point. After nine seasons, Mauer has played more games than Molly had.

Joe Mauer is satisfied...oh my! Playing for a last place team in the AL's weakest division, going 0-3 with a walk in the most recent game and 1-5 the night before, with his sole hit being a slap five-bouncer to left past a drawn-in infield, No Worries! Joe the leader is alive and well. P.S. My condolences, Mr. Puckett!!!

The misery is almost over-for this year.

Just a bit over $35,000 per plate appearance. No wonder Joe's "proud". He's laughing all the way to the bank!

Hey Mauer, you are probably the only one proud of the achievement the Twins have this year.

I don't think Mauer said he was proud of the Twins achievments this year; he stated that he was proud that he had played in so many games and had a good season. You can argue that he is not worth 23 million, like many of you whiners do, but you cannot deny that he had a great season. By the way, Oakland is in the playoffs with a payroll less than half of the Twins, so stop complaining about Mauer and Morneau's salaries keeping the Twins from being competative.

The real question is whether or not the people have learned anything over the last 2 years and continue to buy over 3 million tickets? Will they line up the night before to buy tickets to watch a repeat?

I am really mad at the Twins. I predicted back in May they would lose a 100 games this season and they couldn't even accomplish that goal. Phooey! To call them a bunch of losers would be redundant since all one has to do is look at were they will finish in the AL.......But Twins fans, there is hope on the horizon. Friday there is supposed to be a major press conference where there will be some coaching changes announced. Goodbye Anderson, Goodbye Vavra. Don't let the door hit you in the rear on the way out of the stadium. Unless Gardy announces his retirement, he will be back next year. Insiders in the Twins Organization never get fired, they just get moved to another so called management position with the team. Sadly but true, that is the history of the Twins under the Pohlad regime.

Joe for a singles hitter you should be proud. So Joe how many double plays did you hit into and how many walk off anythings did you have in the clutch buddy. Not whining just stating what I see on the field.
