This stinks, so to speak. So MPCA will allow them to raise the level of polluting particulate matter. What happened to the protective legislation created by State Rep Karen Clark??? Must we file legal suit to stop this?

Give them the permit. They are a good company and a great asset for Minnesota.

To settle issues like this in an expedient way, we should make the owners and of course their immediate family, live within a mile of these types of places. I think we'd have far less issues spending far less money.

Hasn't this always been an industrial area?

20 Years of Red Tape. This is why so many jobs either leave the US or never get created in the first place.

Is this the Kondirator (sp?) issue getting some attention after so many years? I can easily hear the 2800 Pacific Street site from across the river on the east bank. The noise is loud and clear. Crashing and banging of metal all day long. You may as well lower the property values on Marshall Street from Lowry Avenue south to around 16th Avenue (and that is just the east bank).

As someone who actually hauls a large amount of scrap metal to Northern Metal on a consistent basis, as well as to many other plants over the mid-west region, they are one of the better maintained ones and is the least noisy.

Pathetic. As usual, fake efforts to protect the North Minneapolis citizens have failed. Shocker.

Typical NIMBYs, probably all for recycling, but don't want any facility near them to do the work.

It's a sad day for the children of Minneapolis. Shame!
