Joe gave it a go but no. It's going to the Triple Crown Winner Cabrera. Why not the MVP? Where would Detroit be without him? I say Socia gets fired.

Hey LEN3: Ask Gardy if he's ever heard of a safety squeeze? Top of the 10th bases loaded, one out and good speed with Casilla at 3rd Base. Obviously Doumit is too "banged up" to pinch hit, so Gardy lets Butera hit away. Sure enough weak infield pop up, 2 out, and Florimon strikes out on three pitches to end the inning. Brillant managing! So sick of this crap game after game.

Classic ending to another terrible season. Gardy definitely deserves to keep his job. It takes skill to finish in last place two years in a row in this week division. This team has too much talent to finish below KC and Cleveland. Wake up everyone...its time to move on!!

IT would of been nice if ROBERTSON would of got out the one hitter he had to face.PERKINS blew it ,but it was his first time since the all-star game so he has done pretty good.

M. Cabrera: 21 million a year, 44 HR's, .329 avg., 137 RBI, and earns every single dollar! J. Mauer: 23 million a year, well golly gosh he sure does have a high batting average!! Pathetic, much like the enitre twinks organization from top to bottom!

Hats off to Torii Hunter late season prowess with Angels who more than likely will miss the playoffs by a game or two. He has hit close to .400 in the last two weeks (26 RBI, 4 HR, 16 R in the month of September). No doubt Torii has added his clubhouse leadership to the equation. Baseball scribes have noted how he has take Trout under his wing this season. By the way, never forget his solid playoff performances for the Twins: 21 G, 80 AB, .300 BA, 3 HR, 8 RBI, .341 OBP, .550 SLG, .891 OPS. Viva Torii! We miss you brother.

Still Joe has 84 rbi's. That's more the Trout or Davis/Baltimore. No he's not Cabrera but who is? He just may win the Triple Crown. Joe can only do so much. And for Gods' sakes quit complaining and bringing up his salary. I'm tire of it! And so is he!

All the twins had to do was win 88 games this year. 88! Wow...they couldn't ever do that. Pathetic. I say Cleveland/Seattle/Boston and Toronto all fire their managers and win more games than the Twins. Yet Gardy stays. Unbelievable.

Ninety-four losses....my god. To all you Gardy supporters I ask: How can you possibly justify keeping around a coaching staff that loses 195 games over a two-year span??? You say, "Well, he won six division championships." True. And even if those were won in the baseball's weakest division, I'll give you that. BUT, if he's responsible for "all that winning," then he is, too, responsible for all this losing. You cannot have it both ways. And he must be held accountable. Like Jacques Lemaire said after he resigned from the Wild: at some point, your player eventually tune you out, no matter how good you might be. It seems as though the players have tuned out Gardy, and unless drastic measures are taken (canning this coaching staff, trading Mauer for an ace and a starting 2B, trading Span for a power arm in the pen), this team will NOT move forward. There is no magic little genie waiting to be rubbed from a Twins bottle. This organization has to start thinking like every other organization. It must look at its coaching staff and personnel objectively. The fairy tale is over folks. The only way out is through shrewd and savvy baseball decisions.

Based on another Trib article, Gardy likes his pitchers to go 6 innings. So it looks like we have another lock for starting pitcher next year.
