"Matched thousands of couples, 994 of whom got married." The matchmaker in "Fiddler on the Roof" had a better batting average.

You have to pay $25.00 to be considered and then it looks like she is trying to sell you on meet & greets. Is this the case? Because I think I'd be a great match except I'm not spending $200-1,000 to meet this guy.

That's very funny. For johnsq316, you say the matchmaker in Fiddler on the roof has a better batting average. I watched that about 6 times and must have missed that statistic. Where was it? In the beginning or the end of the show? For missbritt I can only tell you that I too agree that you probably are a match for this guy and its difficult to think about spending that kind of money to meet your husband who you could be happy for the rest of your life with. It's a difficult decision. If I was spending that kind of money to find a wife, from a guys point of view, I would like to know my potential wife also made a commitment to meet me. It would certainly make me feel better that we both have a vested interest. Hmmm, tough call. Don't know what to say.

People are waiting to marry because their evolutionary brain, quite basic actually, sense potential mates are physically unfit because their necks are bent looking down at their cell phones. When our brains were being formed, thousands of years ago, there were no cell phones and people held their heads upright. People with bent necks were viewed as undesirable back then.

I hope that any woman who is approached for this "opportunity" runs as fast as they can in the opposite direction. There are NO worse husbands in the universe than lawyers - I've had three of them, I know of what I speak. No exceptions! Just run girls, run! You deserve better than this joker would ever be able to give you.

how depressing. an okcupid membership is free. so is actually taking the time to meet someone in real life. but i guess if you're a fancypants JFK look-a-like lawyer type... $100K is worth it? seeing as how half of all marriages end in divorce, sounds a little extravagant.
