As sports goes it doesn't amount to much. To make it worse we didn't lose to Europe as a whole we basically lost to Britain and Spain. ut we didn't lose to Europe we lost to Britain and Spain basically.

Two days ago, all we heard was the chant "USA USA" over and over as we sat in our clubhouse watching this. It was nauseating really. Perhaps if we weren't so damn arrogant.....

The Ryder Cup in '99 didn't look like a collapse caused by some tired players past their prime who should have had the good sense to decline the invitation. This one did.

comment229: So now it's "damn arrogant" to cheer for the U.S.A.? 9 of the 12 Europeans live here for a reason. It's the greatest country in the world and we should be proud and "arrogant" about it!

Davis Love's captains picks Furyk and Stricker choked big time. In fact they do not deserve to be on another Ryder Cup team. Stricker did not win a single point, along with Playboy Woods. Davis Love said he wouldn't change a thing. Sign of a man in denial.

Really gratifying to see the US collapse if only to shut up the drunks mindlessly chanting USA, USA like Homer Simpson. Can anyone say ugly American? Also, please let me know when the idiot fans stop yelling "Get in the hole" to an inanimate object (even on par five tee-offs, duh), so I know when to unmute the mute button.

When Simpson shanked his tee shot on the par 3, you could tell the pressure was getting to them. Some of the Americans just don't get up another level for the Ryder Cup like the Euros. Euros played great yesterday, no denying.

melbgopher: Hugh? Colsaerts is from Belgium, Hanson - Sweden, Kaymer - Germany, Molinari - Italy, McDowell and McIlroy - Northern Ireland. Maybe "Britain" has really grown.
