I am a job creator and I am entitled (and yes, this is sarcasm).
What a waste of space. The entitlement mentality is on the left and those that think someone owes them something that they don't need to work for. The entitlement crowd is in the wagon screaming for ObamaFones, ObamaCash, ObamaCare and other peoples money. They ride in the wagon and refuse to pull.
I am entitled to laugh at this article.
Was this for a Jr High project? Blah, blah, blah... I like my three word essay better.
Hmmmm. I read many strange columns, but this one comes close to being the strangest of them all.
Wow. Biting sarcasm. And at it's heart, the truth. Refreshing. The only "job creators" are the middle class, who when paid sufficiently, drive demand in our economy which gives incentives to employers to hire. Hard to see Romney as a "job creator" when his actual history is rife with outsourcing of jobs.
Ouch. That hurt... ok, it is true.. all except for the part about creating jobs, sort of--- It is not my job to create jobs - it is my job to create efficiencies and use my tax credits to replace people with more efficient machines and increase productivity to increase return on investment - which will create jobs somewhere, I think... My duty is to my shareholder, a thing that is actually (really, it is) a faceless, nameless entry on the balance sheet - my duty is not to America nor some job-seeker or some government official. My duty is to maximize cash money and value to my shareholders from the Middle East, Europe, Third World countries funds, retirement funds, banks, insurance companies, and the like. Not to you, your town, your state, or your country... And the strong takes and the weak loses. Get spine and get together, or get lost.
The entitlement crowd - you mean the disabled vets, the widows, the pensioners, the "miracle children" that the GOP demands women bear, etc., etc.. Why is Willard entitled to deduct donations to his social club - er church? How 'bout his little dressage pony?
Having spent a few decades around the board rooms of Fortune 500 companies, I can say the corporate system is not only the most wasteful, inefficient and unaccountable system I have ever seen, it fosters and rewards sociopathic behavior to the exclusion and detriment of everything useful in our society.
This article is a bit of a parody, but it pretty accurately sums up the prevailing attitude.
Bitter - party of one.
He is entitled to pay higher taxes and send his son off to be drafted, which should come back! AIG, Citibank and CIT, et. al. should have been bailed out!
