So it's all America's fault. Is that it Mr. Sack? If you recall, the radical Islamists started this conflict long before drones. But like a typical liberal, by all means blame America. What a pathetic excuse for a cartoonist.

A short lesson -- Terrorism requires press, because terrorists exist to influence society using threats of violence. If no one reported on what they did to the populace, they wouldn't have a reason to exist... So if the drones are effective against them, did you ever consider that the first thing a terror group will do is mount a campaign against drones? Blame the drones for killing innocents, (or, as we learned 30 years ago, they kill some kids and put them in the rubble and blame the Army - or even just say there were kids killed); and mount a campaign against drones on any grounds - blunt that effective weapon using the smart terrorists required tool, the press. Truth is not needed - results are needed... You know the drones are hurting the terrorist groups when the terrorists mount an drones-are-evil campaign.

Acknowledging the blowback from our drone wars is not "blaming America first." We need to know when we're playing into the propaganda of terrorists, and our drone wars do have the effect of strengthening the most radical religious nuts around the world. We've killed a lot of enemies with these drones, so I don't know what the answer is, but mistakenly murdering innocent families with drone missiles has marginalized moderates and promoted extremist around the world.

But what are they complaining about anyways? I'm sure Americans wouldn't mind some far-off country flying missile-armed drones over the fifty states, as long as they only blew up people on good intelligence. We'd be fine, I'm sure, allowing a foreign government to be judge, jury and executioner.

Why not have the grim reaper dude on the back of a certain movie maker? Wasn't that what set off the latest round?

Human-operated planes have been dropping bombs on the wrong targets for generations. Any time an innocent is caught in the line of fire during a war is tragic. I'm not sure why collateral damage from drones is inherently worse than collateral damage from a B52. And I sincerely doubt family members of the innocent killed would be more upset if the bomb came from a drone or a plane. I'd prefer a world where the use of drones isn't necessary. Until then, I prefer the risk of having our drones shot down rather than our pilots.
