Doumit. Willingham. Carroll. Burton All upgrades from the free agent market. As the individual season ticket holders flee, let's hope Ryan can mine some gems in the starting pitching area.

If Kansas City loses 3 more games, the AL Central will have 3 teams with 90 or more losses. No other division in baseball can match it.

It would be nice if our pitching staff would quit throwing Cabrera meatballs so Mauer could win the Batting Title and increase his trade value should he leave.

The Twins did disappoint their fans soemwhat by not be able to lose 100 games this seasona s they were well position to do what theirhigh salary expense, high level talent and good field management. On the other hand, losing 92 games and possibly 93 following a season with 99 losses is not small achievement and credit must be given to all who helped make that possible. I mean, it takes lots of good things to come together in the perfect stgorm, if you will, for a club to lose 192 of its pass 324 games as most clubs simply are not "good enough" to get that done. But hey, the Twins got their new stadium at taxpayer expense so why worry about fielding non-competitive teams? Mauer has had a good year but when the batting title was on the line this weekend, he has gone zero for everything while Cabera has come through with hits needed to secure that title. On the other hand, if the fans keep comiong to the games, the Twins will continue toi have no incentive to imporve the team.

With the money saved from Nishioka being released, the Twins can pay off the remainder of Gardenhire's contract and hire a decent manager and coaching staff.

Sorry Levell, but if the Twins were "overwhelmed" by the Tigers, the score would have been 6-0 or 10-0. Negative attitude is contagous, just read here awhile and you'll know what I mean. Negative articles induce negative thoughts. I prefer to focus on the positives. That's why this season ticket holder has been a devout Twins supporter through thick and thin for several decades and plan to remain one for as long as I can. Believe me, this latest "thin" period is nothing compared to the years right after the strike, and pre-2000.

Cabrera does what an MVP does - comes through in the late innings with game-changing hits. Mauer and Morneau almost never contribute anything in the late innings. I wish I had a nickel for every one of Mauer's weak dribblers or Justin one handed strikeouts with the game on the line and RISP.
