Thank goodness for Doumit. Maybe instead of trading Span, we should trade Plouffe.

I heard T-Wolves Kevin Love actually hit some balls into the stands. Maybe he could be our third baseman. With Plouffe committing his 17th error tonight, hard to imagine Love could be much worse.

Regarding the AL Central 'race'. It seems with most of the other divisions, it's about which team will WIN the most. Here, it seems it's about which team will LOSE less often. Subtle, but big difference.

Course, in this space in April we were told by one of "the fans" that "Doumit isn't good enough to be a regular in the major leagues." No wonder so many stick to second-guessing.

Besides Williamham, Doumit has been the best pickup for this team in a long time.....he is a gamer and plays where ever needed....this team needs more Ryan Doumits.....................
