The man should find a new therapist; sexual surrogate? I know it sounds weird but he should buy a cat or dog. Lots of touching and unconditional love, no strings attached. It might help him move forth into interpersonal relationships.
to the man who cannot stand to be touched: Buck UP! In a profound book called The Road Less Traveled the author makes a profound statement in the opening chapter as i paraphrase: 'Most pain in our lives stems from the fact that we avoid a small amount of necessary Suffering'
While I can sympathize with his trauma it is more shameful that this victimization has been allowed to Define you life. To continue your life in the same manner is to do the same thing as you have been doing and expect a different outcome. If you want to have a real life then you must challenge your pain, step into the wonder of the road less traveled, it surely beats all the other alternatives.
