NHL, locked-out players are talking again, with agreements on secondary issues

If the owners have indeed submitted and moved twice in the direction the players are interested in. And the players have not budged from their proposal (from what I understand their two counter proposals have been virtually identical), doesn't seem like the NHLPA is negotiating in good faith.

I think we're headed for a shelving of the NHL season. I for one, don't want to see an abbreviated season. Anything good that happens for any team in terms of division title, Cup, etc... get's an asterisk next to it. Both sides need to wake up and grow up. Bickering over who gets to be a bigger millionaire is just something the average fan could care less about. All this does is aggravates and remind most of us of the big business that pro sports is revolved around. Why can't it just be a game where the participants thank their lucky stars that they are playing (and getting paid whatever they get) and not sitting behind a desk or digging ditches for FAR LESS MONEY??
