Bachmann claims that she is "cleaning up the mess in Washington"?! She IS the mess in Washington. It is extremists like her, people who ignore facts and demonize their colleagues, who are the main reason why the government is trapped in a state of gridlock and dysfunction.

"No matter how popular or unpopular something is, she always has a reason and a rationale for trying to find out what's going on. ... She had some information, it wasn't popular, but she stuck with it, and that takes a lot of courage, and I thought she did it in a very respectful manner."

"Reason" and "rationale" used in comments about M. Bachmann?? What parallel (make that non-parallel) universe is this supposed to be happening in? (Sigh) It's a sure bet the same or similar words were used to describe Ptolemy when he posited that the sun revolved around the earth. He "had some information," too, but the problem, as it is with Bachmann, is that it was mostly bad.

Sadly, as long as there are gullible dupes available who operate from the notion that spewing with passion is what matters most, demagogues like Bachmann will be able to manipulate their way into positions of power and influence.

Bachmann's ughest race? Seeing as how her last three were cakewalks referring to this as being her toughest race is akin to saying Moe was the smartest stooge.

if her work weren't so important, i might admit that i kinda like having her around...she's the ultimate political "party piece" and a caricature of what's become of the GOP.

Michele Bachmann made so many dubious claims during the GOP debates that the Associated Press had a "quota" for how many it fact-checked. Her Fundie supporters may embrace her perpetual inaccuracies and hyper-partisan views, but moderate voters do not. Its high time to toss out this clown and begin her lucrative career as a Fox lapdog.

I donated a small amount of money to the Graves campaign last night and woke up to find one of their signs on my lawn! Go Jim! Let's get this embarrassment to the state out of Congress!

she isn't taking "anything for granted". Balohney!! She nows all she has to do is show up and her enfatuated and brainwashed sheep will come out and bow down to their icon "Shelly". I have seen some of these people on the news--its hard to believe they live here in MN. In my district we have a rep who actually shows up in congress, votes with consistency, and gets in on writing legislation that will benefit Mn. Her district really needs to get rid of the dead weight of their precious "Shelly".

Best of luck, Michelle! I hope you're able to continue to stand up for what you believe in and do what's best for our Country!

I disagree. It doesn't have to be elected "extremists" to trap government in a state of gridlock and dysfunction. Actually, it can be any elected official(s) with a D or a R next to their name who can ignore facts and demonize their colleges and/or cause gridlock and dysfunction. We see it and read about it time and time again.
