I purchased my First laptop computer at now-defunct Circuit City back in 2001. Paid $2,000+ for the Compaq piece of junk. I think the LCD screen was about 11-12", measured diagonally. Any idea of how much $$$ I could get back?

so basically, free money to be had. Do some research, answer the questions, wait for a check. Seems to me the settlement money would be better spent in some other ways. (Back in the day I had a t.v. and a computer in every room of my house...ching, ching!)

Looks like this is more about a windfall for the law firms, than righting a wrong for the consumers.

I wish they were a little more creative with the settlement, otherwise it's just lawyers and people in the know who benefit. How about some sort of computer program for disadvantaged students or other people who were most likely to be actually impacted by the price fixing? A voluntary program like that would be much better than this.

If you don't like lawyers or class action, don't fix prices. Simple, no?

Thanks Trial Lawyers, I will look forward to higher prices that will be passed along to consumers because of this. Great job fellas, glad your are super excited about this being your largest settlement ever.

Oh sure, and Corps will always have your interests at heart if their is no way to do real feedback? Ya, Right. Ford (just one example) calculated the death cost into not fixing their Pinto fuel tank design and the list goes on. Bankers are your friends. Coal ash is officially not a toxic waste?!?!... because of some darn good lobby'n and legislat'n. For balance, how about some news articles for the self serving greed based payoff driven things added to each bill in congress??? then We-the-Peeps can comment on the source issues, not just the corrective measures.
