I say "ease" the easement and let them build UP on the condition that they keep and/or preserve the Gluek's Building. Everybody wins!

As someone who worked in the saloons of the West Bank(Palmer's, Five Corners) during college it is imperative that the city of Mpls preserve the buildings that are still standing from that era. It would be a wonderful addition to Cedar avenue if the building could be moved to the former Dania Hall site! We need to be careful to not construct another 'new town-in town' project in the neighborhood!

Mineapolis has so few old buildings. Heavy handed redevelopment and the highways took far too may. When you compare Minneapolis to Chicago, Denver, Seattle or San Diego, you realize how much we are missing.

It's a cool old building. The developer could build around it and lose several units or they could pay the several hundred thousand dollars to have it moved.
