This is why Gardy needs to go - you can effect the outcome of the AL East and attempt to get the Yankees out of the playoffs. But with no Morneau or Willingham, REALLY????

just another solid effort from the twins.

Seems like Mauer and Morneau are awfully flaccid when Sabathia takes the mound.38 million a year for this?

I will often defend the Twins and Gardy mainly when the criticism seems to biased and unobjective but pulling Deduno for eye irritation? Now sometimes my eyes have become irritated when I golf and it can definitely affect performance but it is generally very short term. Get the 3rd out and he is probably fine the next inning. What am I missing?

This is the exact reason gardenhire(someone else) and his 3rd rate coaches need to go. Is anyone listening out there?

Well everyone can rest easy tonight, Gardenhire's record of never having beaten the Yankees in a series in still intact. What a pathetic lineup and pathetic effort put forth today. Sorry folks, but that is all on Gardenhire. As much as I detest the Yankees...you have to admire their integrity, skill, passion, good management...everything the Twins under Gardenhire are not. Today I was embarrassed regarding the lineup and the effort the Twins put forth today. All the Gardy lovers can thumb down all they want...the guy is a loser and has infected the whole team.

Normally, I don't have anything to say good about Gardy, but for once I think he made a good decision in not trotting out Morneau against a lefty. He's been tragic all year against lefties, too bad, though that they don't really have anyone on the bench that can replace him for power. It's also sad that it only took Gardy almost the entire season to realize that he should remove Morneau from the line up against lefties.

Wasn't it just last week that garden ire was talking about the integrity of the pennant race?

I used to be a Duensing fan, but not anymore. Please let him go.

A Mauer at-bat is as predictable as the Yankees beating the Twins in a series. After watching called first strikes (and strikeouts) in his first three at-bats, Mauer finally figured in his 4th at-bat that he might swing at the first pitch...and reliably rolled out 4-3. With Mauer up, the only fielders who really need to pay attention, besides P & C, are 1B, 2B and LF. Everyone else can take a siesta.
