Firm planning $150 million lab at its Maplewood campus by '15
So polluting and poisoning the water/land in Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Hastings was a good start and its time spread that on a bit more?
For what its worth, 3M already seems to be doing better under the new CEO rather than its former, George Buckley. Buckley came from another co, didn't do a thing, let pollution happen, and made almost $15 million PER YEAR he was CEO. Inge Thulin has actually worked at 3M for decades and committed 3M as a neighbor working with and within MN.
They're probably doing this with the health care dollars that they screwed the retirees out of.
This is great news -- so much R&D flight out of the states, but the fact is we have world-class researchers right here in the metro, keeping innovation and high paying jobs right here.
but what about all those horrible taxes that the TeaCons are always whining about? How is it possible that a US Corporation could continue to do business in this state and not move their enire operation over to the tax-free wonderland of South Dakota?
"...Environmental approvals and possible commitments from the state..."
Hold onto your wallets! Another multi-billion dollar multinational is looking for a government handout!
Who is the developer? Is there a rendering of the building(s)? How many square feet will be added?
Thank you, Republican-controlled state legislature, for not allowing taxes to be raised. It certainly helped this deal to get done.
