The obvious is still there concerning Peterson. Maybe when we are at full strength at wide receiver (can you tell me whose name was not called once yesterday?) the other team's defense will have to play the deep threat pass honestly. Right now, they have at least one linebacker and safety keying on Peterson every single play he is in the game. Despite that, on two particular plays, he was one step away from being off to the races. Lose the blocking full back also unless it is a goal line situation. He just plugs the hole. Bring in another wide receiver, even Webb, to spread the field and keep the secondary from doing the run support on Peterson.

Here's what gets me. Harbaugh was granted two illegal challenges. Did none of the replay officials -- who are not being locked out by the NFL and are therefore the regular professionals -- think to tell Ken Roan that the first challenge was illegal on its face? If not, why not?

Although I pulled a muscle in my neck and scared my dogs screaming at the TV Sunday afternoon, the victory over the team we :"couldn't beat" PLUS the officials was all that much sweeter. Being a Vikings fan means learning to love an underdog. As a dyed-in-the-flannel homer (Twins, too!), I sometimes wonder what it's like to be a Saints or Yankees fan. Quite boring, I think. Skol!

The sad part is that not only did they blow the 'no time outs left', but that the replay in 'real-time' clearly showed that the fumble, which did occur, happened AFTER the whistle blew. Not only can't these clowns SEE, they can't HEAR either. The Newbie Football League better get it together before someone loses an important game because of these knuckleheads.

I bleed purple but just got done watching the Packers get jobbed by the officials on that last second TD by the SeaHawks. Grant you there were a lot of bad calls both ways but that last one will go down in NFL history as the worst call ever. The Packers showed a lot of class by returning tothe field for the extra point unless they were told by the NFL they had to.
