President is strong in urban areas and among women; Romney leads in suburbs and with independents.

"Minnesota voters like Obama a bit more than Romney, but neither is terribly popular. Obama is viewed favorably by 45 percent, while Romney is viewed that way by 37 percent." That's pretty close to 1 out of three voters that like Romney. Put it another way; 2 out of 3 don't like him. Presidential material?

The party breakdown in 2008, a DFL wave election, was D+4, 40/36/25. So now they're saying the DFL will have a +13 advantage over the Republicans? And +10 over Independents? News for our friends at the Minnesota Poll, DFL voting is not going to substantially surpass what we saw in 2008. It won't match it. Rather it will be somewhere between 2008 and 2010.

I don't know how Independents can call themselves "independent" if they prefer the extremist right-wing agenda that Romney-Ryan are pursuing. You would think that an independently minded voter would fall somewhere in the middle of the two political parties and wouldn't even back a party that has moved so far to the right as the Republican party has over the last 30 years. I guess that's what makes politics such a crap shoot.

What a shock. Obama gets support from areas where the people who pay little or no federal income tax reside and Romney gets his support from the areas where most of them do. This is a liberal state, no surprise here.

For me the choice is simple, I will not vote for anyone who wants to give more money to rich people.

Well the state barely elected Dayton and the DFL thought they had a landslide victory. Polls have never convinced me who I wanted to vote for. I vote for the candidate that has similar values that I have.

Most of the states like us voted for the president last time. Most of the states that take in more than they kick out voted for McCain. This 47% fantasy is a very tricky statistic.

"I don't know how Independents can call themselves "independent" if they prefer the extremist right-wing agenda that Romney-Ryan are pursuing." - It's simple, they see the democrats extremisim as more dabgerous to our nation than the Republican variety. That's what democracy is all about, individuals makeing choices based on their values. I'm looking forward to the election since it will likely seal our fate for the forseeable future and that is change I can believe in.
