HOW THE POLL WAS CONDUCTED
Mason dixon polling is only one step up from Survey USA. Survey USA uses robo calling during the day which gender samples women and democrats at a higher rate. While the article discloses that 41% democrats were sampled versus 28% republicans and 31% independents, those numbers do not reflect the splits in either of the 2008 or 2010 elections. The story also doesn't disclose how the names were selected. Since previous Minnesota polls used names furnished by the Star from it's subscriber data base it was always wrong, aside from the Wellstone election which surprised everyone. My take is to never believe a poll, their only purpose to discourage opposition voters into thinking their side has lost anyway so they may as well stay home.
