It is to bad that all of our companies do not follow Medtronic/Dr. Oesterly business plan. Remember we are in a global economy and Medtronic is really showing us how to do it. Good job guys!! P.S. I have a medtronic device in me.

Rather than innovate within Medtronic, it's much easier to have some small company in Timbuktu invent the next best thing and then buyout the company. Yeah that's a great plan. That really reinforces the idea of America being a country of innovators when in reality, we would rather sit back with our wads of cash and buy technology from abroad. The labor is cheaper, less regulations, no oversight, and leaves for more quality time on the golf course.

Ninetyniner.. you are totally correct... when is the last time someone in this country invested something that is life changing? LONG TIME AGO.. during the 60's when everyone paid taxes, we went into space and invented a ton of new items. Now that no one wants to contribute to the well being (like education) of this country.. nothing new is coming out of our country. Without a good education, no new minds will come forth
