Rosenker is a GOP crony - he'll was quick to do a press conference to downplay maintenance issues and protect Timmy and Carol from scrutiny. Now we get to see a different dance over the four year old photos of bent gusset plates. Pass the popcorn.

Because the NTSB hasn't played politics to BikerBoy's satisfaction he's going to WASTE your tax dollars to hold public vendetta meetings to find ways to blame Republicans for a bridge falling. How pathetic. Worse, those who will disagree with this KNOW they're politicizing the deaths of the victims for politics. Sadly it demonstrates something I continue to learn, that liberals and Democrats simply have no moral compass or conscience.

We know they desperately WANT everyone to believe the causes of the bridge disaster are COMPLETELY not their fault. That's why they're afraid of having a hearing. There's a possibility that some facts would get in the way.

You're on crack. Only a liberal would say the NTSB is less fair than a DEMOCRAT hearing.

Does Rosenker think that we Minnesotans went to the University of Stupid? It is ridiculous to site a delay in the investigation and the potential ruination of the NTSB’s working relationship with the Minnesota Department of Transportation as reason for no public hearings on a matter that is of monumental interest to all of us. Just who is the NTSB accountable to? The 35W bridge victims who were killed and injured, as well as their families, ought to fully know what happened and why. Those of us who put our lives at risk everyday traveling across this country’s decaying bridges and roadways demand full and fair disclosure about the transportation crap shoot gamble we are taking. Political embarrassment aside, the NTSB would do well to remember that MAJORITY RULES. Minnesota and the nation have spoken. Bring on the PUBLIC hearings and do so without further delay.

But he has a Scandinavian sounding last name so the Scandinavians HAVE to vote for him regardless of the fact he has not and does not accomplish anything other than spend taxpayer money.

...can do a hearing on these liberals fave terrorist, Kathy Soliah, while he's at it. It seems everything that happens these days is a conspiracy to these nuts. A bridge falls down and it's because Molnau was out in the middle of the night with a hacksaw, not because of the design. Soliah is set free because of a clerical error and it's not really that, it's because of some conspiracy to keep her in jail. These people have gone off the deep end. Liberals now see conspiracies in a bad cup of coffee. Sadly they just don't see how sick they really are.

Only someone who is afraid of the truth would oppose a fair and open hearing.

So the NTSB's reason for not holding public hearings is to preserve its relationship with MnDOT. MnDOT then is utterly perplexed by this rationale, citing their already good relations (and the fact that they're likely *obliged* to cooperate to the fullest extent). Hmmm...something doesn't pass the smell test here. Oberstar and others are right to press for public hearings.
