Well, after the Obama policies of apology, appeasement and send money led to our people and assets being attacked in 20 muslim nations it is time for Obama to get tough, right? Not so. First, today his administration had to admit that the killing of 4 Americans at our embassy in Libya was not caused by "the movie" which Obama had professed to the world was the cause. It was clear and proven that the Libyan attack was by terrorists without any connection to the movie. So what does Obama do today, he records a TV apology translated into Urdu which says the movie was wrong and has it played in Pakistan. Also, at the same time he is pushing forward to ask Congress for $3.5 billion to give to Egypt and more for other of the countries where our assets and people have been attacked. So, what has changed in Obama's policies after the attacks in 20 nations, nothing. Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result?

Let them burn down their OWN cites. Who cares. Perfect definition of ignorance to burn and destroy your own country over a worthless you tube video. All we should care about is squashing any organized groups that may threaten us here in the homeland.

So, if something offends me, something that mocks what I hold dear to my heart, I can kill someone over that? So, if I am offended by someone saying that freedom of expression should not apply when they disagree with the sentiments expressed, what am I allowed to do? What if their entire culture feels that way? If I accepted their logic, wouldn't I be justified in killing whomever offended my feelings about our freedom? And if their entire culture felt that way wouldn't I be justified in committing genocide? No. Naturally I don't think so. So, either we have to have freedom for some ideas and no freedom for others (which really isn't freedom) or we have to accept that some people who don't agree with our freedoms will try to kill us for exercising them. But, what we can't do, I believe, is modify our behavior and our beliefs to suit those who are not yet at the point where they can appreciate that freedom of expression is the best remedy against stupidity and hate speech. Examining ideas in the bright light of day exposes them to examination where people can see how stupid or intelligent they are. To step away from that principle is to let the folks who don't understand that principle direct our ability to live that principle. Where would it stop from there? At what point do we say, "we believe in the ability of intelligent people to freely examine a variety of ideas and in their ability to discern good ideas from bad and no one will prevent us from exercising that belief".

The only people who still believe the "it's all about a film" meme are the Associated Press, Al-Jazeera and Barack Obama. Who are all pretty much in the same place politically.

Way to go, Obama! Are you still blaming that youtube.com clip or, like your press secretary are you admitting that these uprisings (that just so happened to start on 9/11) were calculated attacks. How's that foreign policy experience? I don't hear you ragging on Romney anymore about his lack of foreign affairs experience. What happened?

This thing is quickly spinning out of control! Reading of boarder battles between Egypt and Israel. The US had abdicated leadership in the Middle East, and look at where it has lead us. Once Iran goes Nuclear, will the Obama administration still lead from behind?

I like how Obama is being blamed for this entire thing because he CLEARLY is the one who created and then released this video. Leave it to conservatives to skew everything to their own point of view, rather than using facts. The facts are his foreign policies are not what created this video and have no BEARING on this situation what so ever. These protesters simply need to get over it as it is just a poorly made film. Muhammad is not the only religious icon to be misrepresented after all.

@ averagejoemn - Hopefully American citizenry will never lose their sense of isolation from world events, because, as shown by 9-11, Americans wouldn't know how to deal with it if it came to our soil.

No one is tying Obama to this video. The uprisings were planned well in advance and were to commence on 9/11. The foreign policy of appeasement and the idea that we armed and financed these thugs during Obama's Arab Uprising is what caused these terrorist attacks. The video was an easy piece of propaganda for the planners when, in fact, it had nothing to do with it.

General Motors is alive, Osama Bin Laden is dead, and so is our ambassador. Something just does not seem right about this phrase. Could Obama and Clinton just spend a little more time condemning those who killed our people and a little less time apologizing for some stupid video that few have even seen and fewer could care less. It is not the video. These people do not like western society and never will. Forget about trying to appease them. Let them fend for themselves.
