Anderson: 80,000 waterfowl hunters a tough lot

Saturday's waterfowl opener will be greeted by 80,000 or so hunters, not one of them a wimp.

Dennis, do you mean "not one of them a wimp" as opposed to wolf hunters?

I certainly think waterfowlers are a hardy bunch, but then I may be biased. What I hate though is when they are stupid. If you oversleep, please don't motor though my decoys after shooting time. Have a plan B and C if that is the case. Other than that, here's to a safe and successful weekend!

Dennis good article & good luck! Just a couple of comments. Out of the 80,000 hunters back off about 10,000 if some of the changes in the season structure haven't been made? Number two, after this season with the way the markets have been, and changing landscape the numbers will be back to 70,000!

Dennis-outstanding article as usual. You took me back to that place that has always been so special in my heart with my dog, my family, and friends. My labrador has joined the retired labs club-which hurts too much to join you all on Swan Lake this year. Have a great shoot my friend.
